American Roulette Rules (Video)
The aim of the American Roulette game is to guess the number of the roulette wheel which the ball lands on.
The American Roulette wheel consists of 38 numbers. The wheel besides having zero also has double zero. All numbers of the wheel are arranged in a strict order, following the definite system. The roulette rules is based on the definite balance of the alternation of red and black numbers, odd and even, high and low numbers:
- The alternation of red and black numbers is obligatory.
- The alternation of two odd numbers and two even numbers is obligatory.
- Red numbers shall be arranged and located opposite to black numbers.
- Any even number shall be located opposite to its following odd number (15 shall be opposite to 16)
- The majority of numbers shall form pairs, but between the numbers of a pair there shall be one more number. The sum of the numbers of a pair shall be 39 or 37.
According to rules of American Roulette betting area is divided into outside and inside areas. Inside area has the same numbers as the wheel has, including zero and double zero. All these numbers are arranged on the betting area in three lines of 12 numbers. Outside area has special numbers for betting on additional combinations, such as red-black, odd-even, the first, the second and the third dozens.
According to rules in the American Roulette game a player can place bets:
- On any number
- On any group of numbers
- Red-black, high-low, odd-even
The following table describes bets and their payout ratios in American Roulette:
